Recovery Act - Local Law Enforcement Block Grant (Recovery-LLEBG/JAG) Program

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) was signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009. The Recovery Act provided additional LLEBG/JAG funding for state and local agencies within the State of Missouri.
Recovery-LLEBG/JAG contracts administered by the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Office of the Director, are awarded to law enforcement agencies through their respective city or county unit of government. Short-term contracts are awarded in amounts up to $10,000 (must equal $9,999.99 or less) for purchase of equipment directly related to basic law enforcement functions and officer safety. (Local governments entitled to at least $10,000 awards shall apply directly to BJA for their local JAG grant and are thereby ineligible to apply to DPS for LLEBG/JAG funding.
