Police Officer Daryl Hall, 34, died as a result of gunshot injuries sustained in an off-duty incident. Hall was at the Black Label Nightclub at 80 S. 4th Street when at 2:30 a.m. he heard gunshots outside and went to investigate. Hall observed a suspect firing a handgun and identified himself as a police officer and ordered him to drop his weapon. The suspect refused and in an exchange of gunfire between Hall, the suspect and the bouncer the suspect was killed and Hall was hit in the neck and the bicep. |
