Comments: | Officer Sheldon, 54, died as a result of complications from his paralysis, caused when a gunshot injured his spinal cord, 23 years earlier. He was shot twice in 1985 after he stopped a suspicious car and was shot by one occupant of the vehicle was frisking the other. Sheldon was paralyzed from the chest down, he was 30 years old at the time and had been an officer for six years. |
