Comments: Maplewood Police Sgt. George Ross, 62, passed away from complications after suffering a heart attack while driving on Interstate 55 on March 30. Ross was returning from the burial for fallen St. Louis police officer David Haynes around 1:30 p.m. when the incident happened. Ross was a 33-year veteran of the Maplewood Police Department and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
