Comments: Haynes, 27, died as a result of the 10 a.m. crash while chasing a burglary suspect on South Kingshighway Boulevard. Haynes, who was just married in September, 2009, graduated from the St. Louis Police Academy in January of 2009. Prior to joining the police department he was a United States Marine. The crash happened at South Kingshighway Boulevard and Oleatha Avenue in south St. Louis, after a call for a burglary in progress in the 5400 block of Bancroft Avenue was received by police.
