Crime Victims' Compensation

On Aug. 28, 2018, sweeping changes to Missouri’s Crime Victims’Compensation went into effect. The reforms, which were part of House Bill 1355, make it simpler to apply for compensation, expand the number of people who are eligible, provide victims more time to report their crime, eliminate limits on some categories of payments, along with the three-year limit on compensation payments, and more.
