List of Approved Accrediting Organizations
Pursuant to 11 CSR 30-14.010, the Missouri Department of Public Safety shall identify approved organizations to accredit crime laboratories that provide reports or testimony in state court pertaining to the forensic analysis of evidence. The organizations shall accredit such crime laboratories to the standards established in ISO/IEC 17025.
The following accrediting organizations are approved to accredit crime laboratories, operated or supported financially by the state of Missouri or any political subdivision thereof, that employ at least one scientist who examines the physical evidence in criminal matters and provides expert opinion reports or testimony with respect to such physical evidence in a state court of law.
- ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB)
- American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA)
